Description

Colour transparencies of birdlife, sea lions, sailing charts, and local scenes taken by James (Jim) Watt in Chile during the Totorore expedition, circa Jul-Dec 1983.

Set features images of a colony of sea lions at the north point of Guafo Island. Images of birds include grey phalaropes, kelp geese feeding, chimango caracara, oystercatchers, and unidentified birds on rocks [pied shags?]. Also included are images of moss and other plants in the bush, three nautical maps (two charting routes from Guafo Island to Ypun and one of the Punta Arenas area), a scenic image of mountains and sunset from Quellon, and view of the Guafo Island lighthouse (faro).
