Pamphlet shows a half-length photographic portrait by Messrs Thomson, of 141 New Bond Street, London, of Robert Falcon Scott in naval uniform, and the text inside gives an account of his achievements up to 1904. The inside spread also show a map of Antarctica and a picture of men skiing over the snow with a sled. The back page shows the HMS "Discovery" ice-bound.
The lecture was to be chaired by Admiral Sir Edward H Seymour.
