The centre left section of a four-part panorama of joined sheets. Shows the township of Akaroa and hills across the harbour from a point between Ohae and Opukutahi, near Wainui. Includes the southern part of French Bay, settlers' houses and cleared land along the shore, the Maori kainga (Kaik) to the right. A three-masted sailing vessel is reflected in the still water
