Both front and inside of card are printed in gold. The front has a Latin motto at the top (Quo fas et gloria ducunt, meaning "Where right and glory lead"), and the inside page has a sentence in Samoan (Matou te alolofa tele ma faamanuia atu - We send our love and blessings to you). The sender, John Fairhurst Dickie, has written his name in ink in cursive writing.
Printed as a Christmas greeting card for New Zealand Engineers soldiers in Samoa to send home.
