Description

Photograph album, mainly relating to George Henry 'Scotty' Rogers' service during World War II, taken circa 1939-1945. Photographers mostly unidentified, however some possibly taken by Scotty Rogers.

Images are chiefly a mixture of snapshots of army life, and commercially produced tourist photographs, particularly of Italy. Also includes some photographs taken in Egypt and New Zealand.

Most of the tourist photos of Italy have captions. There are no captions for the army life photographs but some are identified on the back of the prints.

Transfers: Loose photographs transferred to PAColl-10278-1. PAColl-10278-1-074 to PAColl-10278-1-097 were found between pages 2 and 3. PAColl-10278-1-098 to PAColl-10278-1-106 were found between pages 6 and 7. PAColl-10278-1-107 to PAColl-10278-1-109 were found between pages 10 and 11. - Other notes - PAColl-10278-2-5 was originally inserted between pages 10 and 11.

Processing information: Other notes - Some loose prints have been left in the album in small envelopes at pages 5, 6 and 8.
