Panoramic view of a large two-storeyed schist hotel centre left. Signs read "Licensed to sell spirituous liquids. Alex. Richards. Commercial Hotel". Fire escapes outside upper floor windows, iron roof. Another two-storeyed building on the right with verandahs on both floors. Three cars and a truck parked outside the hotel (number plates where visible: NZ97-511, NZ97-510, NZ95-900). Road runs up the centre of the image. High stone wall on the far right with the roof of a house visible. Two groups of men and boys outside the hotel, and a man with a small girl and boy standing by the right-hand car. Taken by Robert Percy Moore.
