Description

Photographs taken in Far North District, circa 1939, possibly by Ethel Pearson who was a school teacher at Herekino School at this time.

Four images show: four unidentified Maori children on Ninety Mile Beach, Tangi Heke (descendant of Hone Heke) wearing a pinafore; a man called Joe, who is riding a horse, and his bullock team; and hot pools and Maori whare at Ngawha Springs.

Photos are all annotated on the rear by Pearson.
