On the recto, a view of Mount Egmont with the lake at the Recreation grounds in the foreground, and showing Poet's Bridge across it. On the verso, looking out to sea on the coast at New Plymouth, with two of the Sugar Loaf Islands in view. A two-masted steamship can also be seen
The view of the Sugar Loaf Islands on the verso is probably half of a panoramic view of the coast at New Plymouth, with the other half being at A-462-006-2
