Contains images relating to the construction work of the northern part of the Wellington Urban Motorway. Taken by the National Publicity Studios about 1965.
Images show excavation of Ngauranga Gorge and nearby hills, and land being reclaimed along the harbour edge. Trucks and excavating machines feature in some images; also several unidentified individuals. Includes some photographs of girders in railroad overbridge, plus clamps with a ruler showing their size.
