Front cover shows a coloured illustration of a can of cooked corned mutton. The inside spread lists prices for beef, mutton, tongues, fancy goods, potted pastes, and extract of meat. It emphasises the quality control, veterinary inspection and immaculate cleanliness exercised during the processing of the meat, "from paddock to package, from clover to can". It states that "the daily average consumption of water at the Gear Works approximates to 2,000,000 gallons, obtained from artesian wells.
