Photograph relating to a 'mystery train' walking trip, taken 16 October 1932, for the Evening Post newspaper of Wellington. 800 trampers from Palmerston North , Petone, Lower Hutt and Wellington caught 'mystery trains' to Otaki, where they met to walk across farmland, eat lunch at Otaki River, and explore the beach. A party of about 300 group visited the Children's Health Camp.
