Description

Panoramic view of a large two-storeyed wooden house with iron roof, centre left. Turret above balcony on first floor above deep porch entrance. Wisteria climbing over porch and verandah and around to the left. Conservatory on right corner. Car parked in drive outside the front door. Lawn tennis court in front of the house, hedges around lawn and tall trees behind. Taken by Robert Percy Moore

Inscriptions: Marginal notes on negative - E.T.R. Carlyon. Tikokino. H B. [No. 2] 3 oils. Tangarine [i.e. tangerine] azalias [i.e. azaleas] on extreme left. Tree on extreme left close up to camera heliotrope flowers. Dark red roses on bottom of verandah, left of car. Red roof. Buff colour car. Various flowers in beds in distance right of house. All around lawn is a pink & red rose hedge. Put roses in if possible, ramblers. Beetroot tree at back of cactus with white blooms. On right of cactus trees far side of lawn is yellow climbing rose; Marginal notes on tape - [On brown adhesive tape] Carlyon. E.T.R. No. 2
