Kitty (Johanne Katherine) Berntsen (right) and her sister Dina (Kirstine Marie) Berntsen on Niels Johan Berntsen's farm at Waipatiki east of Dannevirke. The young women are posed in front of a stack of straw piled on a sledge harnessed to a horse. A large wooden shed and macrocarpa trees can be seen in the background. Photograph taken circa 1917 by Anton Berntsen.
Kitty and Dina were daughters of Niels Johan Berntsen.
