Collection as a whole taken into Manuscripts

Probably intended as an illustration for one of James Cowan's stories, destined for the Enzed Junior, the 1930s children's supplement to the "Auckland Star". It might have been about Captain Peter Dillon, who solved the mystery of the disappearance of the French expedition ships Astrolable and Boussole at Vanikoro Island in the New Hebrides, in 1827
