Description

Shows Juan Antonio Samaranch, who was widely credited with rescuing the Olympic Games and turning it into the worldwide phenomenon it is today, being beaten to the Presidential Suite of a Sydney hotel by Paul Holmes. On the lobby counter is a newspaper headline that reads 'Holmes escapes salary cut'. Refers to television presenters' salaries coming under scrutiny in 2000, and TVNZ becoming a political punchbag
