Cartoon shows a player for the British Lions toasting himself with a glass of 1959 whisky. On the wall behind are the jerseys of Hawkes Bay, beaten '52-12', NZ Universities '25-13', Otago due to play on date of publication and also a loss '8-26', and Poverty Bay '23-14'. Seemed to have been a rout.
