Shows a view of two Maori by the shores of Lake Rotomahana. One of the figures, probably a man, is standing, with his left hand pinning his cloak together and his right hand holding a tall stick. The other figure, possibly a woman, sits on the ground beside him, holding her cloak pinned around her shoulders. The setting is amongst tall trees, with a glimpse of the lake in the background
