A view of a New Zealand-related club in Rouen, France, during the First World War. The entrance is on the ground floor of a possibly early nineteenth-century building. Its entrance is decorated with panels of Maori carving. A board running the length of the club front above the door shows Mt Taranaki, and the heading reads: 'NZ Club / Open to all troops'. A New Zealand flag flies above it
Other drawings by Geo Collins are known to be in a private collection in London, which also includes an autograph with his home address of 88 Huxley Street, Sydenham, Christchurch. Another drawing in the same collection is of a New Zealand scene with mountains, native trees and an emu, by Hedley V. Scott, who elsewhere signs the book as Secretary, New Zealand Club, Rouen. He calls it 'A reminder of "Diggers" and their "God's own country"'
