Programme booklet includes a coloured illustration of the war memorial building and adjacent floral clock in a garden setting. Participants in the ceremony included mayor Mr P Tait, RSA president Mr W H Shearer, Jaycee president Mr R L Cook, the Rt Hon Walter Nash, Minister of Internal Affairs the Hon S W Smith; Mr T W Hercock, and the Rev H C Matthews, president of the National Council of Churches Napier. A roll of honour appears in the last two pages.
