- Description
Examines Maslow's hierarchy of needs, focusing on how this theory, including its forgotten elements, relates to customer needs and services offered following a natural disaster. Analyses the needs of individuals after the 4 September 2010 (Darfield) earthquake, using print and online media sources. Explores how service providers from both the public and private sectors responded. Presents conclusions about the usefulness of Maslow's theory as a model to integrate into (post) emergency planning.
