Typescript of letters from Malcolm Mason regarding his trip to the Middle East, army service, and time as a prisoner of war in Italy. Transcribed by wife Helen and sent on to family members. Includes note from Helen prefacing the letters as well as interpretations interspersed. Letters are originally written during sea voyage from New Zealand to Middle East, at various military camps in Egypt, and from Italian prisoner of war camps.
