Also includes a flyer protesting against the export from New Zealand of the MERE (Mortar Elevation and Ranging Equipment) mortar calculator, which could be used overseas for counter-insurgency, particularly against "Philippine peasants".
MERE (Mortar Elevation and Ranging Equipment) was developed by the New Zealand Department of Scientific and Industrial Research in conjunction with the New Zealand Army and was intended for use with the L16A1/A2 81 mm mortar, to control its firing.
