Photograph of Governor General, Sir Charles Fergusson, and his wife, Lady Alice Fergusson, on a visit to Te Aute College, Hawke's Bay, to lay the foundation stone for the main block, taken by Henry Norford Whitehead.The group with them includes members of the Te Aute Trust Board, including Apirana Ngata, and Anglican clergy including the Bishop of Waiapu.
