Plague reads 'Erected by past and present members of the Sydenham Football Club as a tribute to the memory of William Murison Allardyce, born Dec 13th 1863, died June 5th 1918. President 1911 to 1918. As one of the founders, a player and officer, his servants were faithfully devoted to the club for 36 years.'
