Chromolithograph formal decorative invitation shows the coat of arms of the Prince of Wales at top centre, with a New Zealand flag and a Union Jack on either side. At centre right is an inset circular portrait of Prince Edward the Prince of wales, and at left is a circular inset of the ship "Renown". The coats of arms of Auckland and New Zealand are at the lower border, on either side of a crest including an "E" scroll with rose, thistle, shamrock decoration. The columns at either side have Maori motifs.
