Sid Holland and Peter Fraser prepare to contest the pole-vault; Walter Nash (Minister of Finance) prepares to box in the "Walter-weight" championship; Arnold Nordmeyer (Minister of Industries and Commerce) practises the egg-and-spoon race; Angus McLagan practises the "Unions" shot put; Mabel Howard declares Nash a picture of Health - er, Wealth; Frederick Hackett and his political opponent pull in opposite directions on a bicycle; a politician with "Taxation" on his singlet, does the long jump.
