- Description
A cadastral base map, part of the Lower Hutt Borough, includes the boundary between it and Lower Hutt County, and showing the location of the Gracefield Estate, with Park, Gracefield and Wainuiomata Roads. Sections include acreages, deed plan numbers also numbers relating to Hutt and Harbour Regional Districts. Added topographic detail in the form of contours has been added between the Gracefield Estate and the Wainuiomata Hill Road. Four proposed roads leading to tunnels which are referred to in a key, converge on an adjacent peak of 385 feet, when the grade commences.
The second map is a cadastral map of Gracefield Estate published by the auctioneers Messrs H. Ernest Leighton Ltd., offered for sale on 9th April 1927 at the site. A note about terms of payment, lot numbers and details of the Eastbourne bus to catch to the Park Road stop are included. Some sections are stamped as sold.
