Description

Shows a picture of the 12-foot high ornate clock, with painted panels, "the only perfect model of the great astronomical, musical, mechanical & apostolic clock ever constructed". The text inside describes the clock in detail (it featured St Peter and the Devil, Copernicus, and its constructor J B Schwilque), and gives the history of its construction.

Two other leaflets at the same location, are slight variations on this one - one advertises for Alexandra Hall, on 17 May of the same year, and one is undated. The undated one was donated by the estate of John Mansfield Thomson.
