This is the first of three albums recording an trip to Britain made by Gavin Wallace and his wife in 1939 or possibly 1938/1939. This album records the voyage to Europe via Australia, South East Asia, India and Suez. There are brief stops in Italy where they saw troops massing for the invasion of Albania, and Paris which means they took the last part of the trip overland and crossed from France to Britain
