Description

Drawings and caricatures of sporting and political figures who flourished in the 1940s and 1950s. Includes speedway stars Alex Pratt, Jack Hunt, McMillan, and another unnamed whose image is superimposed over a speedway crowd. Golfer J.P.Hornbrook, a wrestler "Smithy", and an unnamed cyclist are depicted. The political personalities are Cumming who ran for mayor of Petone and accountant John Arcus. Also includes and original portrait of Indian political personality Joginder and two smaller newsclippings of a monkey and a squirrel.
