Description

The Prince Regent welcoming a man in army uniform (possibly Wellington) into the entrance to the Horse Guards building. The army man is carried by another man and followed by a hearse, labelled `The patriotism of 140 wigs'. Two men behind the army man are kissing his behind. One of the two men may be the Earl of Liverpool (Bankes), since he has `Bankes patent whitewash, 1811' and `Bankes blacking' on the ground behind him. On the right, Colonel Wardle lies dead, his feet propped up against the Horse Guards' building, a label on one boot marked `Freedom of the city'
