Shows a view of Mount Taranaki. In the left foreground is a cabbage tree slightly inclined over a stream, and a little further off in the centre is another cabbage tree. At the right a dirt road leads away to the distance between wooden fencing. On this road, a cart leans on its shafts beside a fenced enclosure containing a small wooden house with lean-to.
