Tracing of Auckland district, with no text; has some dotted lines and circles probably depicting volcanoes.
Sheet 2 incorrectly glued to backing board so that the map depicts a mirror view of north Auckland.
Initially attributed to Charles Heaphy based on inscribed title. Correspondence from Hugh Grenfell provides convincing evidence that Ferdinand von Hochstetter drew the original map that the tracing is based on.
Signed by L.[probably] B. Dickson, top left of map.
