Description

Cartoon showing Sir George Grey as a dozing cat, with his back to three mice who sit beside a plate called "Office" and a candle named "Premiership". The mice represent Sir H A Atkinson, Sir F Whitaker, and W W Johnston.

Grey remained on the Opposition benches but with almost no following for 11 years after 1879, vigourously criticising successive government ministries.
