Section 36 is divided into 6 properties, each showing acreage and including owner information. Names on the map include Harena Porutu, Ruhia Porutu, Evansen's leasehold, Chinamen's leasehold, Henare Pitt and others, Pilcher's leasehold, Farelly's lane.
The Waiwhetu River runs through the eastern part of the section.
