Richard John Seddon and members of the 10th New Zealand Contingent aboard the T.S.S. Drayton Grange bound for the South African War, 1902. Taken by unidentified photographer.

Back of file print reads: "T.S.S. Drayton Grange (Joseph Bennett, Commander) in April 1902 carried 500 men and 30 officers of the 10th New Zealand Contingent and 550 horses from Wellington via Sydney and Albany to Durban. The Honourable Richard Seddon (Prime Minister of New Zealand) and his family also traveled in the vessel."
