Description

A class steam locomotive (NZR no. 415) showing the wind screen, photographed at the Petone Railway Workshops by Albert Percy Godber, ca 1917.

The A class locomotive (No 415) was built by A & G Price Ltd., Thames. It went into service in 1908, and was written off in 1962. See "Register of New Zealand Railways steam locomotives, 1863-1971" by W G Lloyd.
