A gigantic watersider holds the ropes to four ships in his hands while diminutive politicians and officials beneath his legs try to order him to release them.
Extended Title - 'He doth bestride the narrow world like a colossus; and we petty men walk under his huge legs and peep about to find ourselves dishonourable graves.' (Julius Caesar, Act 1, Scene 3). The Wellington watersiders refused to load potatoes into the Union Company's steamer Manuka yesterday for Sydney on the grounds that potatoes would thereby be dearer in the local market - news item.
