Scenes at the coronation celebrations at Turangawaewae Marae, Ngaruawahia, photographed in 1962 by Ans Westra. Includes 7 images of groups performing on stage, including dance bands (Junior Orbits on frames 9 and 10) and traditional action song performers; 5 images of spectators. People identified at a later date by attendees at the hui include Werawera Hohua, and her daughter Rosie Walters (nee Hohua), in frames 3 and 8. And Kay Kahui in frame 12.
