Cartoon on the general election of 1911 showing Premier Sir Joseph Ward, Sir George Fowlds and other unidentified politicians. They are shown aboard a Maori canoe about to be wrecked on a rock marked Elections 1911. A shark labelled Socialism is in the water in the foreground. A crew member is holding up three pennants one marked 'Baronet', and two marked 'K. C. M. G.' referring to several knighted M. P.s and Ward's baronetcy.

Reproduced in New Zealand political cartoons by Trevor Lloyd. 2nd edition. (1919). First published in the Weekly News, 14 September 1911, it was described in the cartoonist's obituary as 'The best-known cartoon that Mr Lloyd ever drew'. It was drawn before the General Election in Sir Joseph suffered defeat. After the poll, Lloyd drew a second cartoon showing the canoe as a shipwreck.
