Description

The bust, at Ohinemutu, presented by Queen Victoria in 1870 as a mark of her gratitude to the tribes which maintained their allegiance to her during the wars of the 1860s. It is housed under a carved and painted canopy. In the background can be seen St. Faith's Church. Photographed by Thomas Pringle circa 1908.
