A class locomotive (NZR Number 419). Photographed at the Petone Railway Workshops ca 1909 by A P Godber.
Original print at Pa1-q-101 (Godber album Vol 108, p 2), and also plan details of the A class locomotive.
NZR locomotive no. 419 (4-6-2) was built by A & G Price Ltd., Thames, NZ, in 1908, and was sold in 1961. See "Register of New Zealand Railways steam locomotives 1863-1971" by W G Lloyd.
