View looking over Gisborne from Kaiti Hill. The Gladstone Road bridge which crosses the Turanganui River can be seen in the middle distance near the confluence of the Waimata and Taruheru rivers. The wharves and buildings along Reads Quay are in the foreground and commercial centre further back. Photograph taken by W F Crawford in December 1902
