Monument of Wiremu Nera Te Awa-i-taia, at its original 1868 position in Nero Street (renamed as Wi Neera Street in 2005), Raglan. Photograph taken circa 1 August 1910 by Gilmour Brothers.
Inscriptions: Photographer's title on negative - bottom left - Monument of Wiremu Nero Te Awaitaia, died April 27th 1866 Raglan N.Z. 344; Photographer's title on negative - bottom right - G. Bros Protd 1.8.10
At the request of iwi Ngati Mahanga, the monument was moved in the 1980s to the urupa where Wiremu Neera is buried at Tahua Point, Papahua, Raglan.
