Description

Shows a group of trees, probably pohutukawa, on the rocky edge of a foreground outcrop, with hills beyond.

Accompanying caption slip (written in the late 1900s?) says: "Lake Beach is at the northern end of Takapuna Beach, near the camping ground. The flow of basalt which issued from L. Pupuke can be seen and today is known as the "Black Reef"".
