Shows a hypothetical cross-section through the Wellington Airport, showing underground and above-ground operations. Huge conveyor belts on the surface of the runway, generate electricity using the speed of the jumbo jets landing on them, to drive underground turbines. The relative positions of Evans Bay and Lyall Bay are shown.
