Portrait of Maori woman Te Rerehau Kahotea (wife of Te Heuheu V) holding the "mere pahikaure", a taonga of the Ngati Tuwharetoa. She wears a feather cloak, tooth earrings, and has a chin moko.
This chromolithograph was published as a companion piece to the portrait of Te Heuheu Tukino V, her husband, issued in the 'Weekly press' Christmas number of the previous year.
