Shows an eagle with President George Pompidou's face and black beret, flying over the Pacific with a bomb in its talons, while the woman talking looks up cheerfully from her knitting. Her husband sits beside her on the sofa, where they are watching television.
Exhibited in the 'The Daily Smile: Eric Heath cartoons 1965-1993 (Exhibition)', 1994.
George Pompidou died after an illness, about a week after this cartoon was made.
