- Description
Waimate Pā on a high bluff above the water's edge, with tīwatawata palisades, whare (houses) and pātaka, seen from the south bank of the Kapuni River. Mount Taranaki (Egmont) rises in the background to the right. Ferns, tree-ferns and Tī Kouka (cabbage tree) also to the right in the foreground.
