Description

View of Caversham, Dunedin taken from a vantage point near the southern end of the Southern Cemetery. In the foreground is the railway line and South Road. There are a row of working men's cottages along the railway embankment. The Benevolent Institute can be seen in the middle distance. In the distance to the left is the suburb of Kew. Near the cottages is V[incenzo] Almao's Hat Factory. Photograph taken by Burton Brothers ca 1880s.
